In 1995, he sold the Grundy Organization for USD 400 million to the media and publishing company Pearson PLC, now FremantleMedia. In 2008 the net worth of Reg Grundy was estimated at USD 850 million. Grundy named his yacht Boadicea after the queen of the Iceni Celts. Grundy sold the yacht Boadicea in 2009.

The current owner of Reborn is French investor and politician Bernard Tapie. Tapie is famous for investing in the sports brand Adidas. In 1990 Bernard Tapie acquired 80% of Adidas for EUR 244 million, in 1991 he acquired an additional 15% for EUR 10 million. In 1992 he sold Adidas for approx. EUR 317 million to Credit Lyonnais.

Tapie later claimed that he was swindled by Credit Lyonnais who resold the company to French investor Robert Louis Dreyfus for EUR 617 million. In a controversial court decision Tapie was awarded EUR 385 million in 2008. In 2013 French prosecutors charged Tapie with fraud in this case and seized assets worth several hundred million.

It is unclear whether Tapie’s yacht Reborn was seized as well. The yacht was sold to Gabriele Volpi, who named her Boadicea again.

The Wittouck family was owner of the Tiense Suikerraffinaderij, Belgium’s largest sugar producer. In 1989 the Tiense Suikerraffinadery was sold to the German company Südzucker for approx. EUR 950 million.

Since then Baron Guy Ullens de Schooten and his family member Erik Wittouck founded Artal, a private investment vehicle based in Luxembourg. Artal’s investments include Eurobake, Europe's largest baking company, Pizza Hut Finance, operating more than 100 restaurants and Neuhaus, a chocolate manufacturer.

Artal’s most successful investment is Weight Watchers, which was purchased from Heinz for USD 735 million in 1999 and which was floated on the NYSE stock market in 2001 with a USD 400 million profit. In 2007 Artal received another USD 540 million for shares Artal still owned in Weight Watchers.

And in 2010 and 2011 Artal sold another 12 million shares for more than USD 1 billion. Baron Ullens de Schooten is an active philanthropist, donating to good causes through his Guy and Myriam Ullens Foundation. He is a leading art collector, who founded the Ullens Centre for Contemporary  Art, based in Beijing it is the first private non-profit cultural institution in China.

UCCA has one of the most comprehensive collections of Chinese art. Guy Ullens de Schootens’ sailing yacht Red Dragon is designed by Dubois Naval Architects, while her interior is designed by Wilmotte & Associes. The yacht’s name refers to the owners Chinese passion. Red Dragon is available for charter.

In 1968 Mohamed Al Fayed established International Marine Services (IMS), active in salvage, towing and servicing work for the fleets of oil tankers trading in Dubai’s waters. In those years Mohammed Al Fayed was involved in the development of Dubai.

Al Fayed advised the ruler of Dubai Sheikh Rashid al Makhtoum in the development of its infrastructure (the harbour, roads, hotels),  In 1979 Al Fayed acquired L’hotel Ritz in Paris. In November 1984, Mohamed and his brothers acquired a 30 percent stake in House of Fraser, which included the London department store Harrods.

In 2010 Harrods was sold to Qatar Holdings, the sovereign wealth fund of the emirate of Qatar for USD 2.4 billion. In 1987 Al Fayed established the Al Fayed Charitable Foundation supporting British baby and children’s hospices In 1997 Mohammed acquired the Fulham Football Club (FFC).

Al Fayed owns Balnagown Castle in Scotland, which he uses as a family retreat.  Forbes estimates the net worth of Mohammed Al Fayed at USD 1.4 billion.

Paul Fireman is the owner of the superyacht Solemates. Fireman was the CEO of Reebok from 1979 until 2005. In 2005 he sold the company to Adidas for US$ 3.8 billion, netting himself US$ 650 million for his 17% stake. Paul Fireman founded Reebok USA in 1979, after he bought the rights to the Reebok line of running shoes from the British shoe manufacturer J. W. Foster & Sons.

In 1981 he sold 60% of the company to Pentland Industries, a London based investment company, to raise cash. Reebok became very successful and turned into one of the fastest growing companies of all time. The companies first success was the introduction of women athletics support shoes, which were comfortable and colorful.

Sales grew from US$ 3 million in 1982 to US$ 919 million in 1986. In the 1990’s Paul Fireman’s annual salary amounted US$ 30 million a year.  In 2005 sales were US$ 3.8 billion, when Adidas acquired the company.

In the 1990 Paul Fireman has his own investment firm  named Fireman Capital Partners.  Fireman Capital Partners invests in consumer-focused companies through both growth equity and buyout transactions, focusing on consumer businesses with revenues between $10 and $150 million.   

Fireman is an active philanthropist: he and his wife Phyllis are co-founders of the Paul & Phyllis Fireman Family Foundation, one of Massachusetts' largest private foundations.  Fireman’s yacht Solemates is available for charter. Fireman sold his yacht Solemates to George Argyros, who named her Huntress.
