Yacht Al Asmakh (Serenity Yacht)

The yacht Al Ashmak is a Mangusta 165, built by Overmarine. She is hull nr 6 in the succesfull 165 range, and was delivered as Sharq in 2011.

The yacht is powered by three MTU Engines who deliver a top speed of 40 knots, propelled by KaMeWa jets. Her cruise speed is 36 knots.


As yacht Sharq she was hardly used by her owner - probably the same owner as the yacht Katara.

In 2014 the yacht Sharq was sold by way of sealed bid. Her new owner Ibrahim Hassan Al Asmakh has renamed the yacht Al Asmakh.

She was sold in 2017 and is now named Serenity.

The Regency Group is active in real estate, hospitality and travel. The company was founded in the 1930’s as a real estate developer.

In 1987 Ibrahim Hassan Al Asmakh started Regency Travel & Tours, which - following the boost in travel to Qatar - became the  the leading IATA travel agency in Qatar.

Nowadays the Regency Group is one of Qatar’s largest companies.

Who Owns Al Asmakh Real Estate?

The company owns several hotels, such as the Moevenpick Tower & Suites, and the Wyndham Grand Regency Hotel.

Al Asmakh Real Estate owns shopping malls, residences and commercial buildings. Projects include the Beverly Hills Tower, Ain Khalid Gate and Regency Tower.  The group has more than 2,600 employees.  

In 2012 Ibrahim Hassan Al Asmakh was named Travel Personality of the Year by the World Travel Awards.
