In 1936 the father of Duane Hagadone served as publisher of the Coeur d'Alene Press. Duane Hagadone started delivering the Coeur d'Alene Press at the age of 11. Later he sold subscriptions door to door and began selling classified ads. In 1976 Hagadone purchased the Coeur d'Alene Press.
