The yacht Intuition II is a Dutch built 59 meter (193 ft) steel boat constructed in 1974 at Amels Yachts.
Originally named Spica and built as a pilot boat, her design plans were devised by Amels and Southampton Yacht Services.

The interior, designed by Nicholson Interiors, accommodates 12 passengers and 14 crew members.
Intuition II was acquired by Patrick E. Malloy in 1997 was rebuilt to an expedition superyacht in by Vosper Thornycroft with the help of Southampton Yacht Services.

Patrick E Malloy was the owner of the yacht Intuition II. He sold his yacht in 2017.
Malloy is the owner of Malloy Enterprises, Malloy Real Estate, Malloy Energy Company and is minority shareholder at Goodrich Petroleum. From 1973 thru 1980 Mr. Malloy’s entities constructed, operated and maintained three marinas in the coastal town of Sag Harbor, NY.
The largest marina in Sag Harbor is still owned and operated by Mr. Malloy. He also owned several nautical related companies including Atlantis Weathergear, Stearns Sailing Systems, and Sparcraft Inc.

During the late 1990’s Mr. Malloy identified that a tremendous opportunity existed in the energy sector and he accumulated oil and gas properties in the states of Louisiana and Texas in the United States.
He currently owns and operates a significant amount of energy property thru Malloy Energy LLC. From 2001 through May 2015 Mr. Malloy has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Goodrich Petroleum Company, a New York Stock Exchange listed corporation, and is also Goodrich’s largest shareholder, owning 10% of the shares.
During 2000 thru 2005 Malloy Real Estate successfully developed and constructed a residential real estate project which included two hundred single family homes in the Hamptons, NY.
