Who is Larry Page?Larry Page

He is co-founder of Google and has a net worth of around US$ 50 billion. He was born in March 1973. His father was a computer science professor at Michigan State University. His mother was an instructor in computer programming. He suffers from vocal cord paralysis. He is married to Lucinda Southworth. They have  2 children (a son and a daughter).

Google founder Page is the owner of the yacht Senses.

Who are the Google Founders?

Larry Page and Sergey Brin co-founded Google. (Sergey Brin is owner of the yacht Dragonfly). The Google story begins in 1995 at Stanford University. Page was considering Stanford for grad school. Sergey Brin, a student there, was assigned to show him around.

By some accounts, Page and Brin disagreed about nearly everything during that first meeting. But by the following year they struck a partnership. They raised $1 million from friends and family to launch their company.

Working from their dorm rooms, they built a search engine. The engine used links to determine the importance of individual pages on the World Wide Web. They named this factor PageRank.

They called the search engine Backrub. Soon after, Backrub was renamed Google. The name was a play on the mathematical expression for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. It reflected Larry and Sergey's mission “to organize the world’s information. And make it universally accessible and useful.

He and Brin received the Marconi Prize in 2004. Page was also involved in the development of the Chromebook. Jeff Bezos was an early Google investor.

What is Alphabet?

He is now CEO of Google's parent company Alphabet Inc, while Brin is President. Alphabet’s group companies include Google and Capital G (Google’s venture capital fund). It also includes Google Fiber (providing broadband Internet). Google X is a research and development company.

Alphabet realizes more than US$ 110 billion in sales. The company has more than 89,000 employees. Page has 25.9% of the voting power in Alphabet. And Sergey Brin has 25.2%. So together they have absolute power.

Sundar Pichai is CEO of Google LLC, based in Silicon Valley. This means that Page is less involved in Google’s day-to-day management. He is spending more time on his private island.

What Are Google’s Management Rules?

The Google CEO is said to have dictated the following management rules:

Don't delegate: Do everything you can yourself to make things go faster.

Don't get in the way if you're not adding value.

Don't be a bureaucrat.

Ideas are more important than age.

Don’t stop someone from doing something by saying, "No. Period."

How Much is Larry Page Worth?

His net worth is estimated at US$ 50 billion. The source of his wealth are the shares he owns in Alphabet Inc. Alphabet has a value of US$ 800 billion.

He also owns a few real estate investments. Page has a private staff of over 40 employees. They are responsible for his accounting and the management of his investments.

He is said to drive a Prius car. He also owns a Tesla Roadstar and a white Tesla X. He received one of the first Tesla X models, when it was put for sale.

He is never seen driving cars such as a Ferrari, a Bentley or a Rolls Royce.

Where Does Larry Page Live?

He lives with his wife Lucinda PageLucinda Page in a large mansion in Palo Alto, California. It is said the owns the private Caribbean island Eustatia. Eustatia Island is a 30-acre island of the British Virgin Islands in the Caribbean.

All of the homes on the island utilize an extensive solar system. The system provides the island with 100 percent of its electrical requirements. It does so through solar conversion.

He also owns a penthouse in New York, which he bought in 2008.

Does Page Own a Private Jet?

Page co-owned a Boeing 767 private jet, together with Sergey Brin. The jet with registration N2767 was built in 1997. The 767 has two private staterooms. Each has its own bath room.

The N2767 was offered for sale. A Boeing 767 has a price of US$ 200 million. Google has its own private airport, near San Jose.

In 2019 a brand new Gulfstream G650ER was delivered. Her registration number is N232G. A Gulfstream G650 has a list price of US$ 70 million. She can accommodate 18 passengers.

We are not sure if he owns another jet. We do know that Google executives use a jet owned by Google Chairman Eric Schmidt. He is owner of the yacht Gladiator.

Page is investing in a flying car and flying taxi project. And he is reportedly involved in a flying airship.

Senses Yacht

Larry Page yacht was built for Jack Setton. He became rich importing electronic brands Pioneer and Fuji in France in the 1980’s. His company was named Setton International.
