The yacht Galaxy was built by Benetti in 2005 as project FB232. It was the first yacht produced at the then-new Livorno yard. She is designed by Stefano Natucci.
The motor yacht is powered by Caterpillar engines. Her max speed is 16 knots. Her cruising speed is 12 knots. She has a range of more than 3000 nm.
The luxury yacht can accommodate 14 guests and a crew of 10. The yacht has an electronically-controlled glass paneled dining room, a 70-bottle wine cellar, and Burma teak parquet flooring.
The yacht’s owner was Austrian entrepreneur Hans Thomas Gross. He reportedly sold the yacht. (although she still has the same legal owner).
In 2012 she underwent a minor refit and was put for sale. In 2013 Galaxy was sold by John Gandal to Swiss entrepreneur and RunningBall founder Hans Thomas Gross.
In 2017 she was sold again. Do you know if Gross owns another yacht? Please do send us a message.
Rumors that U2 band manager Paul McGuinness is the owner of the yacht Galaxy are incorrect.
