Trinity Yachts is a yacht builder based on the Gulf Coast of The United States. Trinity was founded in 1988 by Billy Smith and John Dane. The company is now owned by Harvey Gulf International.
Trinity is a famous USA based superyacht builder. Trinity specializes in custom build yachts, built from aluminum. Trinity has build more than 25% of all yachts built in America.
Trinity was founded in 1988 by Billy Smith and John Dane. It was than part of the Halter Marine Group. In 2000 Trinity was sold to Smith, Dane and Felix Sabates.
At that time Sabates was owner of the Trinity yacht Big Easy. Bill Smith also owned a Trinity yacht, a 35 meter (114ft) motor yacht named Leda. In 2013 Trinity was sold to private equity investor Littlejohn & Co and in 2015 Trinity was sold again to Harvey Gulf International.
But that same year Harvey Gulf put the New Orleans yard, the Trinity name and all designs for sale at an asking price of about $30 million.

Well known yachts built by Trinity are the 74 meter (243 ft) Cocoa Bean, built for Ali Ghandour and the 60 meter Mia Elise II owned by car dealer Terry Taylor.
Mia Elise was built at Areti for Russian born and USA based billionaire Igor Makarov. The 50 meter Trinity Norwegian Queen was built in 2008 for Lynn Insurance Group owner Christine Lynn (who was born in Norway).
Trinity’s latest launch is the 59 meter (193 ft) yacht Imagine, which was delivered in 2016. The yacht Imagine is owned by billionaire Sergey Godin, founder of the Canadian tech firm CGI Group.
