Yacht Name: Drizzle -
Amancio Ortega is the owner of the yachts Drizzle and Valoria B. Ortega is the founder and controlling shareholder of Inditex, a Spanish retailer, known for his Zara brand.
Inditex is the biggest fashion group in the world, with more than 7,200 stores and more than US$ 25 billion in annual sales. Inditex has more than 162.000 employees.
The company started life as Confecciones GOA, a modest workshop making dresses and quilt dressing gowns for distribution. In ten years, the workforce grows to 500. In 1975 Amancio Ortega opened the first Zara store.
Ortega holds 1.8 billion shares or 59% of the share capital, most through his personal holding company Pontegadea Inversiones SL. In 2016 the company received more than US$ 1.2 billion in dividends (EUR 0.60 per share).
The net worth or Ortega is estimated at US$ 77 billion, which makes him the richest man in Europe
Amancio Ortega owns several houses, but he is said to frequently use a country house in La Coruna, Spain. His daughter Marta married there in 2012 with Spanish equestrian Sergio Álvarez Moya.
He also owns a large town house near the marina of La Coruna.

The yacht Drizzle was delivered by Feadship in 2012. The 67 meter yacht is designed by De Voogt Naval Architects. The yacht Drizzle is a replacement for the smaller (55 meter) yacht also named Drizzle.
The new yacht was styled similar and proportioned accordingly to the first Drizzle, so that the two yachts look like sisters. In the summer of 2017 Ortega and his wife Flora were pictured by The Daily Mail having a holiday on board their yacht Drizzle.
Redman Whiteley Dixon is responsible for the interior of motor yacht Drizzle. Drizzle can accommodate 10 guests and has a crew of 19.
The 55 meter Drizzle was built as Twizzle (we think for UK business man Michael Bradfield. The yacht was sold to Ortega and named Drizzle. Upon delivery of the new Drizzle, the 55 meter Drizzle was sold to a Japanese who named her Issana.
The Japanese owner sold Issana to US real estate developer Jeffrey Soffer, who named her Madsummer.
Several Spanish news sites mention that the Feadship Femke is Ortega’s new yacht. We were in doubt at first, as Femke does not seem to be a logic name for Mr. Ortega.
But Femke is now named Valoria B. And that makes sense as Ortega used to own a smaller yacht named Valoria. So indeed the Feadship Valoria B (built as Femke) is the new yacht of Amancio Ortega.
