Yacht Al Said - Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said

Qaboos bin Said Al Said  of Oman is the owner of the luxury yacht Al Said.

Sultan Qaboos bin Said - OmanSultan of Oman

He is the Sultan of Oman and its Dependencies. He rose to power after overthrowing his father, Said bin Taimur. In a palace coup in July 1970.

He is the 14th-generation descendant of the founder of the Al Bu Sa'idi dynasty.

Oman or the Sultanate of Oman is an Arab country. It lies on the southeastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula in the Middle East. It lies on the Persian Gulf. The country is an absolute monarchy.

It the past it was the Sultanate of Muscat and Oman. Which included parts of the present-day United Arab Emirates and parts of Pakistan. The country has close ties to Saudi Arabia. It often plays as moderate mediator between Saudi Arabia and countries as Iran or Qatar.

The country has a highly regarded Royal Military Academy.

Yacht Al Said

Motor yacht Al Said, built by Lurssen, was ordered in 2006. The yacht was code named Project Sunflower during its construction.

It’s one of the world’s largest superyachts. Especially measured by volume. The yacht can accommodate 65 guests and 140 crew members.

Al Said is designed by Espen Oeino. She is powered by two MTU marine engines. With a total of 22,000 hp. These bring her a cruise speed of 14 knots.

Based in Muscat

Most of the time the Royal Yacht Al Said is based in the Sultan Qaboos Port. The port is close to Muscat. When she travels, she is escorted by the Oman Navy.

Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said owns 8 palaces and three luxury yachts. Al Said, Fulk al Salamah and Loalat al Behar. Loaloat Al Behar was actually the previous Al Said. It was given as a gift to Oman’s Ministry of Tourism. She has been refitted and repainted.

Fulk Al Salamah Yacht

Fulk Al Salamah is the support vessel for Al Said. Fulk al Salamah was built in Italy at Mariotti shipyard. She was delivered in 2016.

At 150 meter (492 ft) she is almost as large as the yacht Al Said. And she is one of the largest yachts in the world. We found some rare footage inside the yacht Fulk al Salamah. (See movie below)

Private Jumbo Jet

Sultan Qaboos bin Said al Said owns a large Boeing 747 private jet. With registration A4O-OMN. The jet was built in 2001.

He also owns another 747, built in 2012. The jet has registration A4O-HMS. But this jet is not painted in ‘royal colors’. So we think the Sultan uses the older jet.

Sultan of Oman Net Worth

The net worth of Sultan Qaboos al Said is estimated at US$ 1 billion.
