The yacht Lady Gulya is an amazing large motor yacht built by Lurssen and delivered in 2019. The yacht is designed by Winch Design. She has a length of 111 meters and a beam of 16 meters. She was built as yacht TIS. She was sold and is now named Alaiya.
The luxury yacht has a steel hull and an aluminum superstructure. Her displacement is 4,500 tons. Which makes her similar in size to the Oceanco Jubilee and Mikhail Prokhorov’s Palladium.
According to AIS data, her cruising speed is around 9 knots. While we estimate her top speed above 18 knots.
The Lady Gulya boat has a very classic-styled interior designed by Winch Design. There is much use of gold marble in her interior. The formal saloon has a grand open staircase to the upper saloon. There is a glass-enclosed dining area on the main deck.
Her features include a helicopter pad capable of a Eurocopter 135. A large swimming pool and a resort-inspired spa with a large sauna with a balcony. There is a cinema, The luxury yacht can accommodate 18 guests with a crew of 38. There is a dedicated crew elevator.
We received several messages that her original owner is related to the Ukrainian logistics company TIS.
We also received a more specific message, that her owner was Alexey Fedorychev. And not to our surprise he is (or was) the majority shareholder of this company named TIS. And we found online articles stating that he was building a large yacht at that time.. (And that he chartered large yachts in the past).
We were also told that her owner defaulted on the purchase contract. And that the yacht was subsequently repossessed by Lurssen. She was later listed for sale, asking EUR 275,000,000. In 2020 she was reported sold and was sent to Lurssen in Germany for a refit.
The yacht’s new owner was Alisher Usmanov, although we did link the yacht to Andrei Skoch.
Usmanov named the yacht after his sister Gulbakhor.
Immediately after she was sold, we received messages that Tis was bought by Usmanov. He reportedly needed a temporary replacement for his yacht Dilbar, as Dilbar was going to have a big (8 months) refit.
During the Christman holiday season, both Dilbar and Lady Gulya were cruising together for a long period.
There has been another Lady Gulya in the past. That was Andrei Skoch‘s (former) yacht GU, which was renamed Lady Gulya when his new yacht Madame Gu was delivered. However, we were told, that Skoch sold the yacht before she was named Lady Gulya.
In 2021 the yacht was sold to the Mittal family, who named her Alaiya.
