The yacht Eminence was built by Abeking and Rasmussen and was delivered in 2008. At the time of launch she was the largest yacht built by A&R. She was built for Herb Chambers, but he sold her before delivery to Khloponin.
The interior of Eminence is designed by Reymond Langton Design. She can accommodate 14 guests and a crew of 19. Her features include a cinema, n elevator, an owners office, a gym and a sauna.
Eminence is powered by two Caterpillar engines, which give her a top speed of 16 knots and a range of 6,000 nm. She has a shallow draft of just 3.2 meters.
Eminence has a custom built Tender, and a special cradle launch system which winches the tender in the yachts garage.
The yacht Eminence is not available for charter.
Alexander Gennadiyevich Khloponin is Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation. He is closely related to Russian President Putin and has close ties with oligarchs as Mikhail Prokhorov and Vladimir Potanin.
In the early 90’s Khloponin was Chairman of the International Financial Company. IFC is the investment banking branch of Interros, owned by Vladimir Potanin (owner of 3 superyachts).
In the late 90’s Khloponin became CEO of Norilsk Nickel. Norilsk Nickel is a Russian nickel and palladium mining and smelting company. Norilsk Nickel is owned by Vladimir Potanin, Oleg Deripaska and Roman Abramovich. Mikhail Prokhorov (owner of the yacht Palladium) used to be involved but he sold all his shares.
Later he became governor of the Taimyr Region (in Sibera) and from 2002 until 2010 he was Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory (in East Siberia). In 2012 Khloponin was appointed Deputy Prime Minister, which makes him one of the most influential people in the Russian Government.
