The 67-meter superyacht is a successor to a smaller 55-meter yacht, also affectionately named VASSA.
This elegant maritime marvel was designed to mirror the aesthetic appeal of its predecessor, resulting in two stunning sister yachts. In the summer of 2017, yacht owner and his beloved wife Flora were captured by The Daily Mail, enjoying a serene holiday onboard their resplendent yacht.
The VASSA yacht boasts of state-of-the-art propulsion, powered by twin MTU diesel engines. These formidable powerhouses propel her to a top speed of 16 knots. Her cruising speed stands at a comfortable 12 knots, allowing guests to soak in the panoramic ocean views. Thanks to her exceptional engineering, the yacht’s range extends over 4,000 nautical miles, offering unparalleled freedom on the high seas.
The prestigious design firm, Redman Whiteley Dixon, is behind the yacht’s luxurious interiors. Crafted to accommodate 10 guests, VASSA also provides space for a dedicated crew of 19, ensuring impeccable service and care for everyone onboard.
Interestingly, the 55-meter yacht was initially christened as Twizzle, believed to have been built for the UK businessman Michael Bradfield. Later, it was sold to Ortega and renamed as Drizzle. After the delivery of the new, larger yacht, the 55-meter vessel was sold off to a Japanese millionaire who renamed her Issana.
The yacht changed hands once more, sold to the American real estate developer Jeffrey Soffer, who renamed her Madsummer.
