Ilona was built in 2004 at Amels. The yacht is designed by REDMAN WHITELEY DIXON. He is also responsible for her interior. Ilona can accommodate 16 guests and a crew of 28.
She is powered by two Caterpillar engines. Which bring her a top speed in of 19 knots. In 2016 she was sent back to Amels for a refit. The (enclosed) helicopter hangar was turned in to a swimming pool. And a helipad was added.
In 2018 she was sent for another refit, this time at Abeking & Rasmussen. She was lengthened to 82 meters. A new forward helicopter landing deck was added and her stern was changed into an open swim platform.
The yacht’s owner is Frank Lowy. The yacht is named after Frank’s mother Ilona Lowy.
