Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bin Abdulazziz al Saud, is a Saudi billionaire. He is a member of the Saudi Royal Family, as he is the nephew of the late Saudi Arabian King Abdullah.
An entrepreneur and international investor he has realized massive wealth through investments in real estate and the stock market. As of June 2016, his net worth is estimated at USD 18 billion, making him the 41st richest person in the world.
Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal is the richest person in Saudi Arabia. In 1996 Prince Al Waleed purchased a Boeing 767 for US$ 62 million, this was the Prince’s first Boeing, with registration HZ-WBT6.
In 2000 he purchased an Airbus A340-213 from the Sultan of Brunei for US$ 95 million. This Airbus Jet was originally ordered by the Sultan’s brother, Prince Jefry Bolkiah of Brunei, at the cost price of US$ 250 million.
Later Al Waleed try to sell this plane to Kolonal Ghadaffi of Libya, and she is now owned by the Government of Libya. In 2002 the Prince purchased a Boeing 747, now known as the HZ-WBT7, for the price of US$ 48 million.
