The luxury yacht Mayan Queen is a 92-meter motor yacht. It was built by Blohm & Voss and delivered to her owner in 2008. She replaced a 49-meter yacht built by Feadship, with the same name.
Tim Heywood Design
She is designed by Tim Heywood, while her interior is designed by Terence Disdale Designs. She can accommodate 16 guests and 24 crew.
Specifications
Mayan Queen is powered by MAN diesel engines. The yacht has a cruise speed of 20 knots with a top speed of 22 knots. Her range is more than 4,500nm.
Yacht Interior
Not much is known about her interior and there are no interior photos available. We do know the VIP suite has an ‘invisible’ balcony.
A balcony platform slides out from the superstructure when needed, preserving the yacht’s sleek lines.
Travels all Around the World
Mayan Queen has visited destinations like London (2009), Honduras (2009), Sidney (2011), Auckland (2012) and Tallinn (2013). In May 2015 she was spotted in the Aegean Sea, near Rhodes. The beautiful pictures on this page are made by Ship Dreams.
Owner
The yacht’s owner is Mexican billionaire Alberto Bailleres.
Sinead McNamara
In the summer of 2018, a 20-year-old Instagram model named Sinead McNamara was found in a critical condition on board the Mexican billionaire yacht Mayan Queen. She was working as a crew member on board.
Unfortunately, she died on her way to the hospital. Authorities have launched an investigation on the cause of her death. Sinead McNamara, originally from New South Wales, regularly posted pictures of her travels to her Instagram account.
