Embarking on her journey in 2012 as an ice-breaking multipurpose supply vessel named the Sanaborg, the Q Yacht has undergone a radical transformation to emerge as one of the most desirable luxury explorer yachts.
The transformation was initiated in 2019 when the Sanaborg was brought to the expert team at Icon Yachts. Renowned for their innovative designs and craftsmanship, Icon Yachts seamlessly converted her into the luxury explorer yacht, Ragnar.
Fast forward to 2023, the vessel was purchased by the US-based billionaire Roy E. Carroll. He rechristened her ‘Q’, destined to act as a support vessel for his forthcoming 82-meter superyacht Skyfall, presently under construction at Admiral Yachts.
Packed with power, the Q is propelled by 2 Caterpillar diesel engines, perfectly complemented with Wärtsilä diesel-electric pods. She can attain a top speed of 12 knots, with a comfortable cruising speed of 10 knots. With an impressive range of 6,000 nautical miles, MY Q holds a stellar rating of Ice Class 1A Super.
