The Owners Third Yacht
Superyacht Blue Moon is the third and largest yacht for the Duchossois family. All yachts were built by Feadship. The first was the 47.5 meter Mi Gaea. Which he purchased second hand and renamed Blue Moon.
In 2000 he had his first new-build project delivered. A 50 meter (165ft) motor yacht, built by Feadship’s Royal van Lent.
As the owner Dick Duchossois is now more than 90 years old, he will probably not build another one.
Yacht Blue Moon Interior
And in 2005 the current Feadship Blue Moon was delivered. Also by Van Lent. The yacht has an impressive tubular elevator. With a large skylight in the sundeck roof. Allowing direct sunlight to reach the elevator.
Other features of the yacht are a gym, a Jacuzzis, and a restored 1972 Riva Aquarama.
Owner
The yacht’s owner is Richard Duchossois.
