The yacht made headlines in 1997, when Mohammed’s son Dodi Al Fayed was spotted onboard Jonikal with, Diana, Princess of Wales. It wwas their last holiday before the limousine crash that killed both Diana and Dodi Al Fayed.
The motor yacht is powered by Wärtsilä engines. Her max speed is 20 knots. Her cruising speed is 14 knots. She has a range of more than 3000 nm.
The luxury yacht can accommodate 12 guests and a crew of 12.

Al Fayed is a billionaire born in Egypt. He is mostly known for owning the Ritz Hotel in Paris, and the Harrods department store in London. He sold Harrod in 2010 for $ 2 billion to the sovereign wealth fund of Qatar.
