The Andromeda yacht was built as Ulysses for Graeme Hart. He actually ordered two yachts: a 107 and a 116 meter (now named Ulysses). And put the first one for sale asking EUR 195 million.
The motor yacht has a steel hull. She is powered by 6 (!) Caterpillar engines. She has a total power of 6660kw. (Approximate 10,000hp). The engines bring her a top speed of 17 knots. Her cruising speed is 15 knots. Her range is 8,500nm.
She features a helicopter landing platform, with approval for an EC 145 or Bell 429 helicopter.
The superyacht is designed by Oscar Mike Limited.

Her features include a wine bar, a large swimming pool, a cinema, a sauna, and a large gym. She can accommodate 30 guests in 15 cabins. She has a crew of 43 in 24 cabins.

The yacht has a custom-built 12 meters (40’) Van Dutch limo tender powered by 2 x 480hp Cummins.
The luxury yacht was sold and is now named Andromeda. Immediately after the sale, some rumors started that the yacht was bought by ‘a Facebook founder’. Facebook quickly issued a statement that Mark Zuckerberg was not the buyer of Andromeda.
There were also rumors that Milner bought Andromeda. There is a Facebook link, as he is an early investor in Facebook. Quite soon Burgess Yachts released a statement. Claiming that Milner is not the owner.
But in the meantime, we keep receiving strong and persistent messages. From several of our sources that Mr. Milner is actually the owner of the yacht.
We were told that Yuri Milner is the owner of the Yacht Andromeda. Yuri Milner is a Russian billionaire entrepreneur and investor, residing in the USA. He is best known as the founder of DST Global, a venture capital firm that invests in technology startups, including Facebook, Twitter, and Alibaba. Milner is also the co-founder of the Breakthrough Prize in Life Sciences, a prestigious annual award for scientific achievement, and he is a signatory of The Giving Pledge, a commitment by wealthy individuals to donate the majority of their wealth to philanthropic causes.
We are aware of a denial of his ownership by Burgess Yachts. Some call her Mark Zuckerberg yacht.
But in the meantime, we hear from many (industry) sources that Milner also bought the 116-meter Ulysses from Graeme Hart.
And we were told that he was spotted onboard the yacht Andromeda, while the yacht was in Singapore earlier this year. He visited the yacht with a team from Burgess Yachts.
Official statement: From Alice McGillion, spokesperson for Yuri Milner: “Neither Yuri Milner nor any family member nor any entity affiliated with him or his family own either the Andromeda or Ulysses yachts.”
We found some supporting evidence of the statement that he owns Andromeda. The yacht is formally registered to a company named Proxima Y Ltd, based in the Cayman Islands.
This company Proxima Y uses the same address (a certain PO Box in the Cayman Islands) as a formal SEC statement issued by DST Global. And we have a source who claims he spotted Milner on board the yacht, together with a team from Burgess Yachts.
However, we were contacted by a representative of Mr. Milner, denying his involvement in the yacht. They claim that a similar address is a coincidence.
We hear from many sources, from within the industry, that Milner also bought the 117 meters expedition yacht Ulysses from Graeme Hart. Hart has just purchased the CRN yacht Cloud 9 in August 2019. He named her Odyssey.
Immediately after the news broke out that (then) Ulysses was sold, rumors in the yacht industry started that Zuckerberg had bought the yacht. But Facebook quickly released a press statement claiming that Zuckerberg did not buy the yacht.
There was a Facebook shareholder link though, as we soon heard that Milner bought the yacht. We are still trying to find out if Mark Zuckerberg owns a superyacht.
Her value is $250 million. Her annual running costs are around $25 million. The price of a yacht can vary greatly depending on a number of factors, including the size, age, and level of luxury of the yacht, as well as the cost price of materials and technology used in its construction.
