The yacht REV OCEAN is a 183m (600ft) expedition and research yacht. It is currently under construction at VARD in Norway. The vessel will be delivered to her owner in 2024 (following the June 2021 announcement of a 3-year delay in delivery.).
The yacht is powered by 4 Wärtsilä 8L26 2.7 MW engines, powering 2 electric propulsion motors.
Her top speed will be 17 knots. Her range is 21,120 nautical miles at 11 kts speed.
The yacht has enough capacity to treat and store wastewater from 90 persons for 21 days before discharging, allowing the vessel to discharge to shore facilities or to discharge well beyond legal requirements.
The yacht can accommodate 28 guests and 26 scientists and has a crew of 36. The vessel has enough stores for 90 persons for 114 days. And for longer trips, extra stores can be provided in reefer containers on deck.

The boat will be made available for yacht charter. Charter cruises will take up to one-third of the year.
The chartering of the REV Ocean vessel will be done in several ways:
Conventional yacht charter through a broker
Cruises through a broker and planned and executed together with an expedition company
Cruises sold on a single cabin basis
Charter as a research vessel
