The yacht Rahil was built at Benetti and delivered in 2011. She was originally built for UK billionaire Graham De Zille. Who was about to name her Amnesia.
A few months before delivery he received an offer he could not refuse. She was sold to Rotenberg, who named her Nataly after his wife. After a few years, the yacht was renamed Rahil.
The Rahil boat can accommodate 14 guests and a crew of 16. The superyacht is designed by Redman Whiteley Dixon.
The luxury yacht is powered by 2 Caterpillar engines. Which bring her a top speed of 15 knots. Her cruising speed is 12 knots. And her range is 5,000nm.
Name Changed to Rahil
In 2013 Arkadi Rotenberg and his wife Natalia Rotenberg divorced. This was apparently non-amicable. With legal proceedings in Russia and in the UK. Soon the yacht’s name was changed from Nataly to Rahil.
This is similar care as the yacht Aifos. Aifos was owned by John Coustas, who named his yacht after his wife Sofia (spelled backward). After a non-amicable divorce, he changed the name of his yacht to Drad.
The yacht’s owner is Arkady Rotenberg.
The yacht Rahil is often referred to as ‘Grigory Baevskiy’s yacht’. But Grigory Baevskiy is considered to be a ‘property manager’ for both Rotenberg and Vladimir Putin.
According to our sources, Rotenberg is the (beneficial) owner of the yacht.
Rotenberg has owned (and still owns) a few other yachts all named Rahil. He is still believed to own the 2005 Bloemsma & Van Breemen Rahil. Which was built as Flying Eagle.
And he still seems to own the 54 meters Mariotti Rahil delivered in 2012. UPDATE: we actually do not think that these two ‘Rahil’s are owned by Mr. Rotenberg.
