The Mylin IV yacht was built by Royal van Lent. For the late Ted Arison. He is the founder of Carnival Cruise Lines. The luxury yacht Mylin is still owned by his son Micky. He is Chairman and CEO at Carnival Corporation. The yacht was named after Ted’s wife Lin. It was his fourth and last yacht.
Mylin Interior
Mylin is styled by Pieter Beeldsnijder. While Donald Starkey is responsible for the interior decoration. Mylin can accommodate 10 guests and a crew of 15.
Bulbous Bow
Mylin IV was the first Feadship to have a bulbous bow. It was designed and developed in cooperation with the Dutch Maritime Research Institute (MARIN). In 1992 Mylin IV won the Showboats Awards for the best full-displacement motor yacht.
Top speed
Mylin is powered by two MTU Engines. Which bring her a top speed of 20 knots. Her cruising speed is 16 knots.
Owner
The yacht’s owner is Florida-based billionaire Micky Arison. Arison is also the owner of the yacht Sixth Sense. The 74-meter yacht was delivered by Amels in 2019.
