The yacht Maridome was built in 1989 as Stefaren, for tobacco tycoon Bennett S. LeBow.
He named the yacht after his daughters Stephany and Karen. Maridome is designed by Bannenberg Design. Who is also responsible for her interior.
The motor yacht is powered by Caterpillar engines. Her top speed is 16 knots. Her cruising speed is 14 knots.
In 2006 the Maridome yacht was sent to Nobiskrug for a refit. Where a new interior was installed. The new interior is designed by Donald Starkey. Maridome can accommodate 10 guests and has a crew of 14.
The yacht’s owner is Australian billionaire Solomon Lew.
Lew also owns the 45-meter yacht Texas. Which is permanently based in Melbourne. Texas was built in 1984 by Proteksan Turquoise.
When Texas was purchased by Lew he sent her to Sensation Yachts for a refit.
