Heidi Horten was the richest woman in Austria as she inherited a $1 billion fortune from her husband Helmut Horten. She was born in February 1941 in Vienna. She passed away on June 12, 2022, aged 81. She married Helmut in 1966 at the age of 25, while he was 57. In 1987 she inherited a $1 billion fortune from him. She was the owner of the yacht Carinthia VII.

Horten owned homes in Sekirn (Carinthia, Austria) Vienna and Lyford Cay in the Bahamas’. She also owned a large mansion on Belgrave Square in London.
Her main residence was Schloss Sekirn. Heidi Horten is patroness of the EC KAC (Klagenfurter Athletiksport Club) professional ice hockey team. EC KAC has won the most of the Austrian ice hockey Championships. EC KAC is based in Klagenfurt, Carinthia.
