Superyacht BOARDWALK, the 7th hull in Westport Yacht’s 164 flagship yacht series,
is a composite yacht of 49.98 metres in length (164 ft). Motor yacht Boardwalk is
a tri-deck superyacht which can accommodate up to 12 guests in 6 cabins. The full
beam master suite is on the main deck. The master suite integrates the finest fabrics,
cabinetry, stone and leathers into a stylish design. The innovative interior layout
arrangement also includes a top deck VIP suite which leads to its own sun deck. Superyacht
Boardwalk is powered by Twin MTU 16V4000 diesel engines which drive her to an impressive
mid 20 knot top speed. The yacht is named after the popular Kemah Boardwalk amusement
complex opened by Fertitta on Houston's Clear Lake.
Tilman Joseph Fertitta (born June 25, 1957) is an American businessman and CEO and
shareholder of Landry's Restaurants. He is also a member of the board of regents
of the University of Houston System. Fertitta was born and raised in Galveston, Texas.
Fertitta attended Texas Tech University and the University of Houston. He showed
an entrepreneurial streak even in college when he started his own firm focused on
marketing and sales and, after college, development and construction. From there,
Fertitta began building homes while selling Shaklee vitamins on the side. He moved
full-time into foodservice in 1986 working as a real estate specialist for Landry's.
It was only a few short months before he bought the chain. Fertitta expanded the
chain to include nearly a dozen restaurant chains and individual entities. He is
a minor partner in the Houston Texans NFL franchise and owns Houston's Bentley and
Rolls Royce dealership, Post Oak Motor Cars, Ltd. Fertitta ownes a large mansion
in Houston, Texas. His wealth is estimated at more than USD 200 million, some even
suggest he is a billionaire.
