The yacht Carinthia VII was built at the Lurssen yard in 2002 and had a refit 3 years later. She sails under the flag of Austria and is named after Austria’s Carinthia region
Carinthia VII is one of the largest luxury yachts in the world and certainly one of the most beautiful yachts. She is one of Super Yacht Fan’s favourites. Manufactured in steel, she has a length of 318.25 ft (97.20 m), a beam of 52.50 ft (16.00 m) and a draft of 15.75 ft (4.80 m). Her main engines are 4 x MTU 1163 Diesels, which generate 10.064 HP each and enable Carinthia VII to reach a maximum speed of 26 knots.
The yacht accommodates 12 guests with 25 crew. Famous yacht designer Tim Heywood was responsible for both interior and exterior design.
Until recently Carinthia VII rarely left the International Yacht Club of Antibes, but she is now based in Venice Italy.
Mrs. Horten and her late husband have owned several other large yachts, all named Carinthia. In 1965, Carinthia V sunk on her first voyage, after she hit an unmapped rock. She was replaced by Carinthia VI, which was renamed The One and owned by Italian real estate developer Francesco Bellavista Caltagirone.
Unfortunately early 2016 The One was destroyed in a fire in Marmaris, Turkey. The yacht Carinthia is not available for charter. But enquire now, for your ultimate charter experience on similar yachts!
