The yacht H (ex Neom) was built by Oceanco in 2000. She is designed by The A Group. She was built as Al Mirqab for the prime minister of Qatar. For many years she was owned by Vijay Mallya. Who named her Indian Empress.
She was the largest yacht (95m or 311ft) to be built by Oceanco. That was until the delivery of Jubilee.
Specifications
The yacht is powered by MTU engines. Her max speed is 24 knots. Her cruising speed is 18 knots. She has a range of more than 3000 nm.
Interior
The yacht can accommodate 32 guests and a crew of 42.
The yacht is rumored to hold two Mercedes cars on board. And several original paintings from Renoir and Chagall.
She boasts an entire deck dedicated to the master suite that includes a gym, sauna, and steam room.
Owner
The yacht’s owner was Vijay Mallya. Mallya acquired the yacht in 2006 and renamed her Indian Empress.
Sold in an Auction
In 2018 Indian Empress was sold in an auction ordered by a Maltese Court. Mallya allegedly abandoned the superyacht in the summer of 2017. He was said to owe 40 crew members and several suppliers more than $1 million. The superyacht was impounded in Malta in March that year. That was on behalf of her creditors.
NEOM
She was sold for EUR 35 million and was named NEOM. She is now probably Saudi-owned. As NEOM is a real estate project in Saudia Arabia. It is linked to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Neom can roughly be translated as ‘New Future’. More here.

Later she was named H. She is owned by a member of the Saudi Royal family and is currently undergoing an extensive refit. She is registered to a company named Freedom 105 LTD and her correspondence address is based in Spain.
