He moved to Amsterdam and founded Singeldam Vastgoed and Stadsrenovatie BV (‘city renovation’). He bought older houses in Amsterdam, modernized them, and sell them with a profit.

In 2015 he started an investment fund called Jeroen Kool Investments. The company invests in technology and software start-ups.
