The Blue Eyes was built by CRN in 2009. She is designed by Zuccon International Project
The yacht is powered by Caterpillar engines. Her max speed is 14 knots. She has a range of more than 3,000 nm.
The yacht can accommodate 12 guests and a crew of 14.
The yacht’s owner was Juan Miguel Villar Mir. He sold the yacht in 2020.
The yacht was built for Italian entrepreneur Eduardo Tabachhi. He was the owner of the Italian optician chain Salmoiraghie & Vigano, which he sold to Luxottica.
Salmoiraghie & Vigano is Italy’s largest eyewear chain with more than 500 stores. Tabacchi purchased the group in 2002.
Before that he was the owner – with his brothers – of the optical retail chain Safilo. Safilo is now the world’s second largest eyewear company.
Around 2001 Eduardo sold his shares to his brother Vittorio, who in 2010 sold the company to Dutch investor Hal Holding NV.
We estimate the net worth of Edoardo Tabacchi at more than US$ 200 million.
In May 2017 it was disclosed that Eduardo Tabacchi acquired a 49,9% share in Perini Navi, the famous Italian yacht builder.
