The luxury yacht is powered by Caterpillar engines. Her max speed is 15 knots. Her cruising speed is 11 knots. The Yersin yacht has a range of 15,000 nm at 11 knots and her dynamic positioning system allows her to stay in position for up to 10 days.
The motor yacht Yersin can accommodate 18 guests and 24 crew. Yersin features A 12-seater cinema, indoor Jacuzzi, library, gym, and massage room. There is also a hammam, watercraft, diving gear, and an array of water sports equipment.

The yacht’s owner is French millionaire Francois Fiat. Francois Fiat is married to Genevieve Baud, the daughter of the late Jean Baud. Baud founded the French retail chains Franprix and Price Leader.

Calypso was actually not owned by Cousteau. But was owned by Irish millionaire Loel Guinness. He leased her to Cousteau for one franc per year. The yacht visited Amsterdam in October 2015.
