He is a founding shareholder and Chairman of HSBC Bank Armenia. And a shareholder of the Dorchester Hotel in London, England. Which he owns together with the Sultan of Brunei. He was born in 1948. He is married to Tamar. They have 4 children.
He is an investor, commercial developer, and philanthropist. Mr. Manoukian’s business interests are controlled through the Principality of Liechtenstein.
Mr. Manoukian, who is considered to be a Diaspora Armenian. He has invested in several companies that have been brought to Armenia for the purpose of creating jobs.

He is Honorary Citizen of Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. And he was awarded the Insignia of Prince of Cilicia and the Order of St Gregory the Illuminator. It is the highest honor which can be bestowed by the Armenian Church, for his many charitable works.
He and his wife are active philanthropist through their Vatche and Tamar Manoukian Foundation. They donated US$ 30 million to the UCLA Health Sciences. To form the UCLA Vatche and Tamar Manoukian Division of Digestive Diseases.
In 1998 Bob and his brother Rafi Manoukian sued Prince Jefri Bolkiah of Brunei. For $130 million for allegedly failing to honor two property deals. They settled the dispute out of court. Rafi Manoukian resides in California and was major of the city of Glendale.
