Invus Capital is a private equity firm based in New York. The company started in the 1980s, working exclusively for Eric Wittouck’s ARTAL.

Debbane made his first spurs in 1996 when he bought the cookie producer Keebler Foods for Artal for $61 million. Two years later, he sold the company for a whopping $1 billion
And in 2018 Artal sold her shares in organic animal nutrition group Blue Buffalo to General Mills for $8 billion. His profit was $3.5 billion.
After several smaller but successful investments, Artal bought the diet company Weight Watchers for more than $700 million in 1999.
TV celebrity Oprah Winfrey bought 10 percent of the shares in 2015. Artal and Debbane earned billions with this investment and still own 20% of the Weight Watchers shares.
