The yacht Blue Gold is the largest sailing yacht built by Benetti. She sleeps up to 12 persons in five staterooms.
In 2012 the yacht was seized by the Vanuatu government for unpaid taxes. Blue Gold was under investigation, as according to sources a significant amount of money is owed to the yacht’s crew.
Damaged and Grounded
In March 2015 Blue Gold was damaged and grounded by Cyclone Pam. She lies abandoned on the beach in Vanuatu ever since.
She is a hazard, causing damage to the reef and the environment. Locals from Moso Island have asked the Government to remove the beached Super Yacht Blue Gold, from their reef. More here.
