The motor yacht Attessa IV was originally built as Evergreen for Chang Yu-fa. He is the chairman of the Evergreen Shipping Line. She was delivered in 1999 to a design of Diana Yacht Design. In 2007 Chang Ya-fa sold his luxury yacht to billionaire Dennis Washington.
The luxury yacht has a steel hull with an aluminum superstructure. She is powered by 2 Wärtsilä diesel engines. Which bring her a top speed of 22.6 knots. Her cruising speed is 21 knots. She has a range of more than 6,000nm.
3,5 year long Refit
During a 3,5 year-long reconstruction period, the yacht was totally rebuilt. The work was done under the project management of the Washington Yachting Group. The bow, stern, and superstructure were all changed. The yacht received a totally new interior layout. She was brought to Lloyds and MCA Class.
She can accommodate 28 guests, serviced by a crew of 21. The value of Attessa IV is estimated at US$ 150 million.

San Diego Collision
In October 2018 the Attessa yacht was involved in a collision with a sports fisher yacht, near San Diego.
The crash caused extensive damage to the starboard quarter of the sports fishing boat. The boat was disabled and a man was critically injured.
A man was airlifted off the sports fisher by the US Coast Guard. He died later in a San Diego hospital.
The yacht’s owner is Dennis Washington.
