In 1975 Huish founded Huish Detergents Inc., which became a leading manufacturer of retailer-brand laundry and dish products.
Huish Detergents was known for products as Wisk, All, Surf, Sunlight, and Snuggle. The company eventually expanded to encompass a central office in Salt Lake City. And owns large-scale manufacturing plants in four states, twelve patents. It as more than 2,300 employees.
The company realized annual sales of more than US$ 1 billion. Huish sold the company in 2007 to Vestar Capital Partners.
Atomic Aquatics has two co-founders: Dean Garraffa and Doug Toth. Both Dean Garraffa and Doug Toth have been involved in dive equipment since the 1970’s.
They first worked for a major manufacturer. But in 1995 they founded Atomic Aquatics. In 2011 they sold their company to Huish Outdoors.
Atomic produces and sells dive equipment such as regulators, snorkels, masks, fins, dive computers, and knives.
Atomic is known as one of the top brands in scuba gear. Which produced many technical innovations such as the first titanium regulators.
