The luxury yacht Bold was denied entry to New Zealand due to COVID19 restrictions.
.
The yacht planned to visit the America’s Cup and perform refit works afterward.
.
The yacht didn’t receive visas for the full crew and was supposed to let go 30% (of the crew).
.
It was planning on spending more than $50k for a refit, including critical safety works.
.
Vessels can gain approval to enter New Zealand, under the condition that they spend more than $50k.
.
But’s Bold’s crew is too big, to comply with all COVID19 regulations.
.
According to Bold’s captain, the yacht will now head to Australia to have the works done.
