The Longarini Family and their Legacy in Business and Yachting
The Longarini family is a prominent Italian family based in Ancona, with their late patriarch, Edoardo Longarini, leaving a lasting legacy in various industries, including construction, publishing, and yachting.
Edoardo Longarini
Edoardo Longarini was a highly successful entrepreneur, with his ventures spanning construction and publishing. He founded Adriatic Construction in the 1970s, securing contracts with local governments for projects worth over $1 billion. Unfortunately, these contracts led to prolonged litigation, and despite being awarded more than €1.2 billion in compensation, the decision was later overturned by the Supreme Court and remains under appeal.
Longarini’s publishing endeavors included newspapers such as Marche Gazette, Umbria Gazette, and Tuscany Gazette. Additionally, he owned a radio-television station called Galassia TV.
Ancona Calcio
As a passionate football enthusiast, Longarini owned the Ancona Calcio football club and founded the Borghesiana Soccer Academy, a youth football club dedicated to nurturing young talent.
Viareggio SuperYachts (VSY)
Longarini’s love for the finer things in life led him to establish Viareggio SuperYachts, a company that built his own yacht, Stella Maris. The luxury yacht was later sold to Rashid Sardarov and subsequently to billionaire Ming Hsieh.
Longarini Net Worth
At the time of his passing in 2020 at the age of 89, Edoardo Longarini’s net worth was estimated to be around $200 million.
