Tim Donahue is the Chairman of Nextel. He was born in 1949. He is married to Jayne Donahue.
Timothy Donahue was chairman of Nextel from 1999 until 2006. Donahue worked at the paging division of MCI Communications when it was sold to McCaw Cellular in 1986. Donahue became president of McCaw Cellular.
When AT&T acquired McCaw, Donahue became president of AT&T New York. Later Craig McCaw hired Donahue as president of Nextel, a wireless service provider.
Under Timothy Donahue’s direction, Nextel became a very successful Fortune 200 company.
Donahue was rewarded very well. In 2003 alone he earned US$26 million, while his Nextel shares were worth more than US$ 50 million. We estimate his net worth at more than US$ 100 million.
Tim and his wife Jayne Donahue are active philanthropists. In 2015 they donated US$ 6 million to the John Carroll University to provide scholarships for current and future low-income students
Leaving Nextel in 2006, Timothy Donahue became a director at Tyco International and Eastman Kodak.
