Who is Vladimir Strzhalkovsky?
Vladimir Strzhalkovsky is a former Lieutenant colonel of the KGB. He served together with Vladimir Putin in Leningrad (now St Petersburg).
He was deputy minister of economy and led a government department to promote tourism before he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Norilsk Nickel in 2008.
In 2011 he left the company with a “golden parachute payout” of $100 million. He then bought the famous Italian Scarpa winery.
In 2015 he became vice president of Board of Directors of Bank of Cyprus. He is also chairman of VFSO “Dynamo Moscow”

Scarpa is a famous Italian winery, founded in 1854. Scarpa’s reputation was made beginning in the 1960s and 70s by Mario Pesce, whose father purchased the winery some years earlier.
In 2011 Scarpa was acquired by Vladimir Strzhalkovsky. His wife Maria Piera Zola is President.
Eugeny Strzhalkovsky is the son of Vladimir. He is president of HMBSA Monaco (Historical Medieval Battle Sport Association). In 2017 he bought Knockdow House, a large estate in Scotland.
