Israeli billionaire Morris Kahn was a businessman, entrepreneur, investor, environmentalist, and philanthropist. Born on March 5, 1930, in Benoni, South Africa, he moved to Israel in 1956 and became one of the country’s most successful technology and communications entrepreneurs.

Morris Kahn was born in Benoni, South Africa, to a Jewish family with roots in Lithuania. As a young man, he was active in Zionist youth movements and later moved to Israel with his wife, Jacqueline, and their children.

Amdocs was founded in the early 1980s and grew out of the need to provide billing and customer management systems for telephone directory and telecom businesses. Morris Kahn was one of the company’s founding figures, together with members of the Meitar family.
Amdocs became a global leader in billing software, customer relationship management, customer experience systems, and digital transformation services for telecommunications and media companies.
The company expanded internationally and became listed on Nasdaq. Today, Amdocs serves major communications and entertainment companies around the world and employs tens of thousands of people.
