Quattroelle was built by Lurssen and delivered to her owner in 2013. She is designed by the Italian based Nuvolari-Lenard and can accommodate 16 guests in 8 staterooms. The yacht has a crew of 29.
Specifications
The yacht is powered by 2 Caterpillar engines. Which bring her a top speed of 17 knots. Her cruise speed is 15 knots. We estimate her range at at least 5,000nm.
Interior
Quattroelle has a gymnasium designed by Usain Bolt, a spa with a hairdressing salon, a massage room, and several pools.
The name Quattroelle stands for “four L’s or Love, Life, Liberty, and Luxury”.
Quattroelle Shadow
The yacht has a support vessel named Quattroelle Shadow. The 56-meter vessel carries all toys and extra crew and staff.
She was built as an offshore supply vessel at Halter Marine in 1981.
Michael Lee-Chin
Quattroelle was built for Michael Lee-Chin. We were told he sold the yacht in 2014 to UAE billionaire Majid al Futtaim, but in the meantime, it became clear she was sold to Crown Prince Hamdan (FAZ3) of Dubai
Apparently, Michael Lee-Chin ordered a larger (139 meter / 456 ft) yacht, which will be delivered in 2019. Built to a Moran Yachts specification, the yacht will feature accommodations for 36 guests in 20 staterooms.
We think it’s project Redwood, under construction at Lurssen.
Update: the Lurssen project Testarossa was launched in September 2019. There was a Canadian flag on her bow. That is a direct hint to Michael Lee-Chin. So the 116-meter yacht Testarossa is probably the new yacht for Michael Lee-Chin.
