Who is the owner of the yacht Scout? James Dwight Berwind. The yacht is named after the owners’ dog Scout. The project was known as Brio, named after the owners’ other dog.

M/Y Scout Yacht

Scout was originally started as Project Zeus for a Russian owner. He withdrew from the project. The project was re-branded ‘Something Cool’. And was listed for sale again, asking EUR 60 million. The project was bought by Berwind. Who named her Scout after one of his dogs.



During construction she was named Project Brio. Named after another dog of the owners. Scout can accommodate 10 guests and a crew of 14.



Specifications

The Scout boat is powered by 2 Caterpillar Engines. Which bring her a top speed of 15 knots. The superyacht Scout was delivered in 2019.



Hakvoort Shipyard

Hakvoort is a ship yard based in the Netherlands. The company is owned by the Hakvoort family.

Berwind and Kevin Clark previously owned the 45 meter yacht Scout. The yacht was built at RMK Marine. The yacht was sold and is now named Calliope. We think she is now owned by Angus C Littlejohn.
