An update and rare view on the rebuilt Project Sassi (the new Coral Island).
.
The yacht under construction was destroyed in a fire in 2018. Rumors are that the insurance claim was EUR 590 million.
.
She is being rebuilt at Blohm and Voss and heading to a 2022 delivery. Apparently her hull is being re-used.
.
The yacht is a replacement for the 72 meter (237 ft) Lurssen yacht Coral Island.
.
This yacht is now known as Coral Ocean and is owned by Australian waste entrepreneur Ian Malouf.
.
The Sassi project is now referred to as Project Opera and will be 147 meters (481 ft) long. That makes her one of the largest yachts in the world.
.
Her commissioning owner is Sheikh Abdul Mohsen Al-Sheikh, a Saudi billionaire art collector, and founder of the Shgair Farm.
