The yacht was known as Trump Princess, and owned by Donald Trump

The yacht Kingdom 5KR is a 85.65 meter motor yacht owned by Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal. The yacht was built in 1980 by the yacht builder Benetti for an estimated USD 100 million (purchased now, the equivalent would be more than USD 200 million) and designed by Jon Bannenberg. Its interior was designed by Luigi Sturchio.

Built as Nabila for Adnan Kashoggi

The yacht was built as Nabila for Saudi billionaire Adnan Khashoggi, who named her after his daughter. At the time of its construction Nabila was one of the largest yachts in the world. During its days as Nabila, the yacht was featured in the James Bond movie Never Say Never Again. In the Bond movie she was named Flying Saucer (translated from the Italian Disco Volante in the original novel Thunderball) and acted as the villain's mobile head quarters. This isn't the only yacht of course to play a starring role in the spy franchise, with a number of other Bond Boats gracing our screens across the years. The yacht was inspiration for a track - Khashoggi's Ship-  on a 1989 album by rock band Queen.

Sultan of Brunei and Donald Trump were owners

After Khashoggi ran into financial problems, he sold the yacht in 1988 to the Sultan of Brunei, who in turn sold it to Donald Trump for USD 29 million. Trump renamed the yacht the Trump Princess. When Trump ran into financial problems, he sold it to Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal in 1991. The yacht's current name stems from the Prince's investment company, Kingdom Holding Company, his lucky number (5), and his children's initials ('K' and 'R').

The New Kingdom 5KR

The yacht Kingdom 5 KR is rumored to be replaced by a larger yacht, known as the New Kingdom 5KR. The last few years Kingdom 5KR seems to stay unmoved at the IYCA in Antibes.  In June 2016 she left for maintenance to a dry dock in Genua, Italy. The yacht Kingdom 5 KR is not available for charter, but enquire for your ultimate charter experience on other yachts.
